A student entering Kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1. Official certificates of birth and baptism are required at the time of registration. Students entering Level 1 are required to take a readiness test and must be six years of age by September 1.
Those registering for levels 2-8 must fulfill the age requirement for the desired grade and present letters of recommendation from the previous school. A mini-battery will be administered to all new students to verify placement. Grade level and academic group determinations are made on the basis of school records.
Preschoolers must be potty-trained. Students entering the Three-year-old Preschool program must be three by September 1; students entering the Four-year-old Preschool program must be four by September 1.
Immunization records must be complete before any child may enter school. The requirements are as follows:
Grades K-12
• 4 doses of tetanus (1 dose after the 4th birthday); 3 doses if series started after 7 years of age.
• 4 doses of diptheria (1 dose after the 4th birthday); 3 doses if series started after 7 years of age
• 3 doses of polio
• 2 doses of measles
• 2 doses of mumps
• 1 dose of rubella
• 3 doses of hepatitis B
• 2 doses of varicella for all students or written statement from physician/designee indicating month and year of disease or serologic proof of immunity
Grades 7-12
• 1 dose of tetanus/diptheria/pertussis (Tdap)
• 1 dose of meningitis vaccine (MCV4)
