Welcome to Sacred Heart Elementary School

Sacred Heart Elementary School smiling students Sacred Heart Elementary School is an educational ministry of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish serving children from preschool through 8th grade. It is one of the oldest and largest Catholic schools in Pittsburgh. Founded by Reverend Bernard Ferris, first pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, it has been serving families in the Pittsburgh area for more than 130 years.

The school also embraces many international families who work and study in Pittsburgh. We celebrate this diversity of cultures with a Children of the World International Program.

"Every culture enriches our lives with its own unique beauty and wisdom. Yet we all share the same hopes and dreams, the same need for love and home and kinship. These are the common threads that bind us together as one family in our world."
