Haiti Bake Sale needs bakers and sellers
Sacred Heart Church’s Hearts for Haiti Committee is looking for bakers and people to staff the bake sale tables before and after Masses on the weekend of June 9-10.
All proceeds of the sale will benefit Sacred Heart’s sister school, St. Antoine in Fondwa, Haiti.

Work Day is Nov. 19, can you help?
Every so often, a group of parent volunteers gets together for “Work Day.” This time, we will be painting the third floor hallway outside the third-floor chapel.
If you can spare a few hours on November 19 from 9 a.m. to noon, we would love to have you join us.
Painting supplies will be provided. Coffee and doughnuts, too!

Can you work an hour or two at the Scholastic Book Fair?
The Book Fair is Tuesday, November 1 to Sunday, November 6. We still have a few shifts to fill. Volunteers are still needed during the the following times:
Tuesday 11/1 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. – SETUP
Tuesday 11/1 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Thursday 11/3 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Friday 11/4 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Monday 11/7 noon – 3 p.m.

Volunteer at Gala
Volunteers are needed the evening of the Gala (Saturday, November 12, 2011) to help things run smoothly. If you don’t plan to attend the Gala, but would like to contribute to this worthy cause (Science Lab for our kids!!), please contact Michele Cromer at mcromer@gtnlaw.com. Help organize the uniform room
Sacred Heart’s uniform exchange room is a great resource. And if you’ve stopped in lately, it’s either been a breeze to shop in, or it’s needed some work! That’s because several different parents have pitched in to organize whenever they could, but not on a regular basis.
In order to keep that space neat and organized, we really need a dedicated volunteer (or volunteers—work with a friend!). It doesn’t take much time and is an easy way to help out the school.
The job requires about two to three hours at the beginning and end of the school year (the times that the most donations are received), as well as about an hour a month just to keep it in check.

Homeroom representatives needed; sign up here
A Homeroom Representative is needed for each class. The duties include coordinating any class parties, arranging parent volunteers for field trips, coordinating teacher’s gifts, and essentially being a contact person for the class regarding class activities and school events.
Most of the work of a Homeroom Representative can be done from home or office. If you are interested in being the Homeroom Representative for your class, or if you have any questions about this volunteer position, please contact Holly Rubinoff at holly.rubinoff@gmail.com as soon as possible.
