What's Happening at Sacred Heart

Native American Dance
Fifth-graders perform symbolic dances that they developed and explained as part of a Social Studies lesson on Native Americans.

Gingerbread houses
A fun—and sometimes messy—time was had by all at the annual Gingerbread House event. Families gathered in the cafeteria to decorate houses, visit with each other, and, in many cases, snack on the building materials!

Christmas cards for soldiers
Students made Christmas cards to send to those serving our country this holiday season.

Advent prayer service
Students from kindergarten to 8th grade participated in a quiet reflective ceremony to mark the season of Advent. Prayers, music, readings, and a few words from the parish priests helped everyone remember the true meaning of preparing for Christmas.

First-grade Thanksgiving celebration
First-graders shared an abundance of healthy treats and dressed as pilgrims as part of a lesson on the meaning of Thanksgiving.
